These path lights are shaped like traditional coach lanterns rather than the usual plastic domes — a black frame with clear panels and a visible filament-style LED tube inside, so the light source itself is part of the look. Each lantern comes with three pole sections, which means you can run them low along a border or build them up to full height beside a path, and vary the height across a run if the ground does. The solar panel forms the lantern roof, so they charge through the day and switch themselves on at dusk with no cable or transformer anywhere. Supplied as a 4 pack.

Key Features

  • Pack Size: 4 lights included, each with three grounding rods and a stake.
  • Design: Black coach-lantern housing with clear panels and a warm filament-effect LED tube.
  • Adjustable Height: Three pole sections per light — build up to 55 cm (21.7 in) or run them lower.
  • Lantern Size: 6.8 cm (2.7 in) across the head.
  • Battery: 800 mAh rechargeable cell.
  • Charge and Run Time: 6–8 hours of daylight charging gives 8–10 hours of light.
  • Automatic Operation: Comes on at dusk and switches off at dawn by itself. No motion sensor.
  • Installation: Push the ground spike into soil and slot the poles together — no wiring or tools.

Usage Scenarios

  • Lining a garden path or driveway edge so the route is visible after dark.
  • Marking the edge of a lawn, border, or raised bed.
  • Lighting the approach to a front door or gate at full height.
  • Setting them low among planting so the lanterns sit within the border rather than above it.

Before You Buy

  • Turn the switch on before charging. There is a switch on the underside of the lantern base — if it is off, the light will not charge, which is the most common reason these appear faulty out of the box.
  • Push the spikes into soil or a border, not hard ground — they are not designed to be driven through compacted surfaces.
  • Site them where the panel gets direct sun for most of the day; runtime drops in shade and in winter.
